Registration fees are 100% refundable when the department cancels the activity. A participant wishing to withdraw from a class that has not been cancelled by the department must provide a request at least seven days before the scheduled start of the class. They may receive 100% credit to the family’s account or may request a refund. Within the week prior to the scheduled start of a class refund/credits will not be given except for verified medical/hardship cases. Refunds for payment made by cash or check will be received approximately 2-4 weeks after the refund is requested.  Senior Services Special Events and Trips are non-refundable.

Summer Skies ART Camp 2018

SUMMER SKIES: American Indian/ First Nations Inspired Art Camp
Animals, Trees, Water, the Sun and the Moon are all symbols and part of a rich cultural and artistic heritage that make up First Nations and American Indian artistry. The stories we will tell and the creations we will make are going to be an artistic adventure for all to enjoy. Traditional to contemporary American Indian and First Nations Art will be explored using drawing, painting, collage, printmaking techniques and more. Your child’s love for artmaking will come alive with rich cultural symbolism and traditions of those who came before them and continue a long line of art as a way of life. We can’t wait to see what we create together under the summer sky.

Summer Skies Camp will be packed with exciting and accessible art projects, step-by-step instruction and plenty of art making opportunities with their camp mates. Art lessons will cover a variety of art methods including but not limited to: Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Mixed Media and much more. Students can only register for one of the elementary camps and must be 4 years old by March 7th. 1 week.

Child and Parent Date Night (age 7-14)
One registration is for BOTH child & adult. Do something special and creative while spending quality time together with your family! Have fun and create a 12 x 16 art piece to take home. The instructor will show you step by step how to create a colorful painting. While painting we ask you bring your own drinks, snacks or meal to enjoy during the class. Desserts will be provided. During the class you will be given cards with questions to ask each other during your time together. A cute way to make great memories and also a wonderful photo op! Instructed by Ally Lewis.

The MVAA Cabaret Camp is an intensive workshop in the Performing Arts. This camp is by audition only. Join DWMA Ballet Academy for an exciting dance camp. If your child loves Belle, Rapunzel, Elsa, Cinderella, Ariel, and Heroes, then they will love this camp! Each day, dancers will become a different princess/prince. Your child will love learning about the stories and then acting out the parts through dance! HYDE & SEEK ARTventure Camp 2018 at Hyde Farm***
Looking for a camp that allows your 7-12 year old find their hidden creative side while seeking their wild side? In this truly one of a kind outdoor art camp we will explore the historic Hyde Farm property, hike to the Chattahoochee River, take a nature walk and use all of this exciting outdoor time to create awesome works of art inspired by nature.

This farm has 45 acres of historic property with lakes, hiking trails, and a home that we will be using for the art studios. This summer we will once again enjoy the magic of the farm, while studying the animals that live there, hike the property, experience printmaking, and learn to draw and paint the nature surrounding you. Art and possibly theatre projects are in the planning stage. Plans will vary with instructors that are part of the day. Your outdoor artist will not want to miss this ARTventure at Hyde Farm! Space limited to 30 students, register early!
